Has anyone ever done this? I have read that they have the best beam cut off for a 7" light as well as running a separate bulb for high beams and low beams.

After looking at a few of these sets for sale around the world they better pave the road with gold in front of you. Usually the first upgrade I make to a new to me car is the headlights. I have had great success with Bosch or Hella H4 glass housings with a 80/100 bulbs and a simple relay system. They put out fantastc light ( just asked Dons kid) and will only cost you a fraction compared to these Marchal lights.
Just my 2 cents.

depends on what brand lamp you have now. Brighter bulbs almost always help, but the right beam pattern is even more beneficial.

Brighter H4 bulbs are always a plus! Remember before putting the bulbs in and lighting up the world you will want to run those lights through a relay so you don't "Smoke" your headlight switch.

Peter, if you do change out your headlights, then they won't be authentic Italian equipment! The Italians went above and beyond to make the Inno the best Mini (in their minds), so you can't go and mess it up with modern, over achieving headlights!

Well if its original equipment, wouldn't it be a sealed beam unit? If so, you can't just change out the bulb.
