Joe English says this is what's going to happen:
10am - Introductions and a tour of GROUP 2. Presentation by local Yokohama representative. Then it's a walking tour of the first of three nearby amazing car collections.
11am - SAMOA MEETING
Noon - Tour of another nearby car collection.
1pm - Return for lunch catered by GROUP 2.

The area Yokohama representative will be at the February meeting at Group 2 to answer questions and tell us all about tires they have available in Mini sizes.

I had lunch over the weekend with Chris Benny, T&A Guru (that's tires and alignment) at Group 2. He tells me the whole shop is abuzz about the Minis invading the place next month!

Sigh, the durge of any great hobbiest is their job. Anyway, I am now the head baker at the Ballard Fred Meyer, and this means my hours are 3 to noon Saturday through Weds, so I will miss the first half of this event, but I will do my best to at least make it to lunch. I have money from CafePress from the calendar sales I will sign over to the club.
See you for lunch! YAYAYAYAY

Just happened to drop by Group 2 yesterday. Actually, the kids Alfa broke down so we had it towed there. Anyway, the guys at Group 2 are pretty excited about being visited by SAMOA this coming Saturday. So if there's ANY way you can come, be sure to be there. And if there's ANY way you can bring your Mini do that too!
Congrats on the new job Karynne. A great place to shop just got better! You won't miss much by coming a little late. See you at Group 2.

I'll have some news regarding a product that we can use to replace the zddp or dzzp or zipadidoodah that has been removed from motor oil to protect cats but threaten our camshafts/tappets.

Woo Hoo! TiniWag made it home safely, even after bashing the exhaust on the ferry. Plus I found out, in addition to the heater not heating, the fresh air vent was loose. Hmmm, lots of really cold air along the 101! :D

But Sunday was the first day over 50, so the paint shop was fired up! Nice get-up eh?

All right! The flares are getting painted. Did you solve the heating issue?

The heater core is probably plugged up. No heat felt through the tubing with the car warmed up. I did pick up a new 180 thermostat as well.

David, David, David,
This is Puget Sound. It's actually been quite warm lately.

That's why I'm painting! The magic number for the paint I'm using is 50, temp over 50, humidity under.
And hey, on the way home when the sun went away, it dropped to 38, without a heater, and a open vent...
