Steve will be in town again this year so the tradition of a meeting, BBQ, cars on the lawn event will be resurrected.

Ok, So I finally brought the mini up from Portland to Seattle a couple weeks ago. It's so much fun having it to drive again (after almost a year in the garage).

Looking to do two things:
1. Join the group officially. I didn't see an FAQ for who to send cash to, etc, so if someone can point me to it, I would appreciate it.

2. What time is the next event. I would love to attend with my mini.

In answer to #2, see EVENTS. Greenwood Car Show this weekend and even if you are not yet registered, bring your Mini and enter there. Maybe we can find a way to sneak you in with the rest of the Minis!

In order to be guaranteed a parking spot with SAMOA you needed to register by June 15th. If you register before the day of the show there is a chance that we can hold a spot for you, but you'll have to let us know. If you register on the day of the show it will cost $5 more, it's possible that you won't get in and it could take so long to get through registration that you won't be able to park near the other Minis.

While we are are all dying to see your car you might want to just park nearby and take in the show. Stop by and say hi, sign up with SAMOA with Ed, go to his house after. Simple eh? Don

We probally ought to leave an extra foot of room between each Mini when we first arrive (they're at least that much narrower than most of the other cars that will be in the show). Then all we have to do is move a few of them closer to make room for a late-arriving Mini.

Details for Woodinville BBQ:

Saturday July 19th, meeting at 11:30, show up earlier if you'd like. Cars will be displayed in the back yard, so Minis drive around the right side of the house to the back. The BBQ starts at noon if we can get the meeting done by then.

SAMOA will provide food and drink but feel free to bring a dish if you'd like. Bring a folding chair if you have one, there will be some here if you don't.

Directions:
18619 185th Ave NE, Woodinville, 98077 if you want to google it. If you get lost or need more info call 425 844-4321.

*From 405, exit 23A Hwy 522/ Monroe
*Go east 1.8 miles to 2nd Woodinville exit, marked NE 195th ST/ Duvall
*Turn right at end of ramp, go straight thru light, this is NE Woodinville Way but turns into Woodinville-Duvall Rd
*At 2.8 miles from 522 exit, turn left (North) at the light at 182nd Ave NE. Large "Cottage Lake - BridleTrails" sign on corner.
*Take the 2nd right (East) on NE 186th St.
*Turn at next left (North) on 185th Ave NE to driveway for 2nd house on left. House is not visable from street.

Meetings usually last 45 minues to an hour, so closer to 12:30 for food.
Beverages provided by the club are of the non alcoholic variety.

I too apologize for not making it there! I had the mini at my shop in Bellevue Saturday, and when I left for the meeting it wouldn't run. If there is anybody in the area willing to stop by and help me figure this out I would really appreciate it. Thanks much.
