  • Car pulls to the left

My van pulls to the left when I let off the gas to shift or brake. Is that an indication that the motor mounts need to be replaced or additional bracing is needed?

By additional bracing, I assume you mean engine stabilizer. You can check it by revving the engine and looking to see if the engine rocks excessively. Can you hear a clunking sound when you drive the car and let off the gas? Check the security of the dog bone where it attaches to the firewall bracket/engine or the bushes inside the dog bone might be worn. Sticking brakes?

Check the tie rods between the front suspension swivel hub to the subframe. Failure can cause the problem you're having and much much worse.
