OK by me! The neighbors have been asking about when my odd friends with the small cars would show up again. Something about deadbolts and taller fences?.....Don

At least we are good for something. Even if it is only to prompt neighborhood security enhancements!

Have to pass on this nice drive. All the parts are in for MOKE's engine so I'll be putting it together rather than enjoying the drive...and donuts. Have fun.
The more I know about Minis, the more I know I don't know about Minis.

met at don s place in seattle about 8oo am,( lots of donuts left!!!!!)
I was the only one showed up. So Don and Marion and I 2 minis
towards burlington. 9.45 arrive in Burlington at the Crispy creme,
where 3 more mini s joined us.:
Mel and wife in the bright yellow 1275,
Steve and daughter and his 1275 plus... wagon
Dave and wife and daughter in their yellow canadian 1275 plus..
The drive through chuckanut was nice under dry road condition.
Steve most of time was leading the group into bellingham to the
Boundary Bay brewing Co.. Nice lunch a few beers and down to the
waterfront parked and had a cup of coffee. At that time the weather
really was nice also a little breezy. After that back through Fairhaven onto
chuckanut down south stopped at a nice lookout point, where suddenly
a a new mini cooper S showed up. The drive introduced themself as
Doug Bingham a former member from SAMOA way back 1967 and said he
had a early 196o 85o at that time.He could not make the 4oth party
he was out of town. Anyway he wants now a classic too. Who ever
got a car for sale he wants one very badly.. He is also friend to Mike
                    prezbindowski,
                    Doug s contact 206 246 29oo( work BBC dodge)
After that nice stop everybody went back home.
Don and i took some nice backroads towards I 5. and thats it.
I try to post some photos later

                    thanks

It hurt to miss the Chuckanut run but I wasn't able to get the brakes and cv joints on Graham repaired in time. Trying my best to get him fixed in time for the next event, honest!

Some may recall that we had a bit'o'the mini fall off during this years Chuckanut Run. While wrecking another shell this weekend we found another piece of heat shield/abutment plate wedged between the body and front subframe that matched the Chuckanut one! Maybe there's a recall and I can have the dealer repair the car at no charge? Don
