  • British-Only at The Shop July 28

The Shop, "the country club for gearheads" on 6th Avenue South, will be having a Cars and Coffee gathering for British cars only on Saturday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to noon. I talked with someone who's involved in the planning, and he said they'd like to see SAMOA cars alongside the McLarens and Jags at the event. Participants could also tour the facility (fabulous cars stashed there, I'm told).

I've never been to The Shop, but it sounds like a diverting morning in the SODO district. It's also a cool opportunity to show non-Mini folks what REALLY cool British cars look like.

    I'll be there. Any interest?

Funny, I don't recall talking to Jerry. But I might be interested...

Four Minis will be great. More than four Minis would be even better. I think my son-in-law is bringing a McLaren. Any other interest in an easy Saturday morning of showing off cars?

Do you need to register or just show up?

No registration required, Michael. This is an informal, cars-n-coffee kind of affair. Show up when you want; leave when you feel like it; impress the hell out of the Jag owners.

I’m interested. Anyone from the south end interested in a Mini convoy? Also, what is the full address?

Mitch, I'll be at the Park & Ride at the Auburn-Black Diamond Road exit off Highway 18 at 9 a.m. Saturday if you want to drive in together.

We can take 167 into Renton, then Sunset Blvd. and MLK Way to Airport Way, which will take us to Lander St. and The Shop on 6th South.
